Video interview: Fake Blood
He’s best known for bass-heavy club smasher ‘Mars’, which was swiftly rehashed into Dizzee Rascal’s loopy grime-pop hit ‘Bonkers’, but Blood’s career and influences are much more diverse than the latest dancefloor sounds. The producer (né Theo Keating) first gained notoriety as one half of big beat duo The Wiseguys, then spun under the name DJ Touché and released music as live electro act The Black Ghosts. The project was be unveiled on April 26 2012 as the next of the BFI’s Sonic Cinema series programmed by Tayo Popoola, though, unlike Radio 1’s Rob Da Bank, who soundtracked ‘King Kong’ for the first of these events, Keating has created a bespoke soundtrack to go alongside the film.
