From 2017-2022, Kate had a monthly radio show on Worldwide FM where she played new music from around the world, joined by guests such as Stewart Lee, Anoushka Shankar, Shabazz Palaces, Floating Points, Hot Chip, Novelist, Mr Jukes, Songhoy Blues, Ikonika, Throwing Shade, Nicola Cruz, Nosaj Thing, Kelly Lee Owens, Seun Kuti, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Yaeji and Kojey Radical. Highlights also included a show for International Women’s Day on the forgotten female pioneers of pirate radio.

In 2018 and 2019, Kate recorded two shows for Red Bull Radio’s Counter Intelligence series, on Zudrangma Records in Bangkok, Thailand, and the legendary Jimmy’s Records in Nairobi, Kenya, both of which she visited. In 2016, she hosted the Guardian Radio Hour on east London station NTS – a 10-week series from the Guardian where special guests lifted the lid on their musical passions. Guests included Stewart Lee, Neneh Cherry, Bobby Gillespie, Matthew Herbert, Richard Dawson, Anna Meredith, Fat White Family and music critic Alexis Petridis.

Also in 2016, Kate hosted a four-part series for Beats 1 with the Guardian called Breaking Good, featuring guests Christine and the Queens, Lady Leshurr, Metronomy’s Joe Mount, Andrew Weatherall and David Holmes. Before that, she managed and programmed London Fields Radio, which was based out of a cafe in Hackney, where locals could record podcasts as the coffee machine hummed in the background. Dazed wrote about it and VICE featured the station in a short doc.
